The history of the company
The story of Saturn Yachts began with Roger Burroughs. This talented businessman joined the shipbuilding industry in the 90s. He initially worked for…Hylas Yachts and promoted the shipyard’s products to the British market. This allowed him to gain experience, learn how to interact with contractor yards and designers.
In the end Roger wanted to try to start his own shipbuilding company. He decided to set up a company similar to Hylas, with only engineering, marketing and reseller departments in England and construction of the yachts in Asia. The naval architect Bill Dixon was invited to create the model range.
Status
Today the company continues to work and builds ocean cruisers (blue waters cruiser), rather heavy and reliable yachts with very high quality finish.
Production .
Saturn Yachts chose the Taiwanese Ta Yang Yacht Building Company as its production site. The contractor has a wealth of experience and has launched over 2,000 vessels in its 45-year history. The shipyard offers its customers very flexible conditions – any interior detail can be changed according to the customer’s wish.
The production is ISO 9001 certified and the boats meet European quality and safety standards.
Model range
The Saturn Yachts portfolio includes sailing yachts from 14 to 17 meters in length. These are comfortable and spacious luxury cruising models, central cockpit boats and sports cruisers.
The yachts have a very modern North European exterior and the interior design is closer to classic style.
Features
An attractive feature of Saturn boats is their relatively low price.
The firm is proud that it produces small series yachts practically at the price of mass segment (due to cheap labour). The reverse side of the medal is a small range and very rare refit, so Saturn yachts can be considered the very British«:»exceptionally high quality, but a few old-fashioned things.
