History of the company
The talented Finnish naval architect Jorma Nyman founded the small shipbuilding company Jonmeri in the 1980s. It took the company less than 10 years to make a name for itself and gain a foothold in the market for cruising and sports cruising sailing boats.
One of the most famous boats was the Jonmeri 40, presented at the Helsinki Boat Show in 1993. The yacht has attracted attention with its reliability, rich spaces for its size and bright design. Even after a quarter of a century, this cruiser looks harmonious against the backdrop of modern sailing boats.
Status
Boats under the Jonmeri brand are no longer produced.
Production .
The manufacturer has followed the path of Oyster, preferring to hire contractors to produce their own yachts, remaining essentially an engineering company. Jonmeri used the services of another equally well-respected shipyard. Maestro Boats. The production facilities were located in a traditional Finnish yachting« location,»just 2 kilometres from Baltic Yachts boathouses and 20 kilometres from Nautor’s Swan assembly facilities.
Model range
The range includes cruising yachts with Mediterranean cockpit, fast and comfortable sports cruising boats. All models received modern hulls made of composite materials.
Features
The company has a longstanding reputation among connoisseurs of good yachts. Jonmeri boats are the product of a successful tandem of design office professionalism and contractor experience. Therefore, despite the fact that the shipyard has stopped working long enough, the demand in the market of second-hand yachts on the Jonmeri does not decrease.
