About
History of Bali Catamarans
Bali Catamarans, born from the visionary mind of Olivier Poncin, has emerged as a trailblazer in the world of sailing multihulls. He acquired the renowned Catana brand in 2003, and after that, he saw the need for innovation in the catamaran industry. Dissatisfied with the limited scope of the “blue water” catamaran market, he embarked on a daring journey to redefine the sailing experience.
Consequently, in 2014, Bali Catamarans unveiled its first masterpiece, the Bali 4.5, swiftly followed by the Bali 4.3. These vessels introduced groundbreaking concepts such as a seamless connection between the saloon and aft cockpit, a tilting door, and an integrated foredeck. Today, the Bali Catamarans shipyard churns out over 300 boats annually, a testament to the brand’s global appeal.
Current status
The network of over 30 ambassadors stands ready to assist in selecting the ideal Bali model for the upcoming adventures. While the network continues to expand, the brand remains committed to fulfilling dreams of escaping aboard a Bali Catamaran. With a fleet boasting 7 remarkable models, including the recent addition of the Bali Catsmart, the brand wishes to venture into the world of yachts over 60 feet.
Production of Bali Catamarans
Production-wise, Catana Group boasts 1,300 dedicated employees across four boat production facilities strategically located in France, Tunisia, Portugal, and Marans near La Rochelle. Additionally, the fully self-sufficient industrial joinery shop in Rivesaltes ensures the impeccable craftsmanship of the furniture. Further enhancing the company’s capabilities, they operate a “Services” base at Port Pin Rolland in Saint Mandrier, France.
Model range
In particular, the centrepiece of the range is the Catsmart, a 12.08-meter marvel that preserves Bali’s hallmark feature: the full deck connecting the hulls. This innovative design maximises space utilisation from bow to stern. A spacious tilting door effortlessly separates the saloon from the cockpit, fostering conviviality and seamless movement. To cater to diverse preferences, Catsmart offers 2, 3, or 4 cabin configurations, each with an en-suite bathroom.
Features
Certainly, Bali Catamarans are synonymous with comfort on the water. The iconic tilting “Bali door,” the solid foredeck platform, and effortless cockpit access define an unparalleled standard of living on the sea. The innovative approach invites to embrace life’s fullness, connect with the elements, and engage the senses. With expansive windows and a forward cockpit door, clients will savour a 360° natural panorama. Space reigns supreme at Bali, exemplified by the forward cockpit and the expanded area afforded by the Bali door—a distinctive hallmark that sets Bali apart from the competition.
