Company history
The Pegasus Yachts team brings years of experience in engineering, production, business, industrial design, naval architecture, product and project management, and offshore sailing. The team has completed more than 160 projects for prominent series builders worldwide. Ten of those projects received European Yacht of the Year awards, and more than 50 others earned national Boat of the Year titles.
These projects resulted in the production of more than 10,000 yachts, including Shipman Carbon Yachts, the world’s first series of carbon performance cruisers. We gained valuable real-world experience directly from Shipman owners during circumnavigations and extended cruising in remote locations worldwide.
Pegasus Yachts collaborates closely with leading naval architects and hydrodynamic specialists from current America’s Cup and ocean racing programmes, as well as exterior and interior designers, structural engineers, and top industry suppliers.
Product Range
Pegasus Yachts launched its first model, the Pegasus 50, in 2020 to strong international recognition. In 2024 the shipyard announced the larger Pegasus 67, with deliveries expected to begin in early 2027.
Features
Pegasus yachts are positioned as comfortable, safe bluewater cruisers that are easy to handle. Despite their size, they are optimised for shorthanded sailing, including single-handed operation when needed. They offer high levels of autonomy, with solar panels as standard to minimise generator use, fuel consumption, and noise.
Cockpit and saloon as one space
The shipyard’s distinctive design approach combines the cockpit and saloon into a single living space. They are separated only by two 60 cm steps and a large glass companionway. This arrangement allows a seated person in the cockpit and a standing person in the saloon to share a similar eye level.
All-weather-protected cockpit
The yachts feature a large protective hardtop that shelters the cockpit from sun, wind, rain, and spray while preserving clear forward visibility and unrestricted sail handling.
Optimised for shorthanded sailing
The design prioritises easy shorthanded and single-handed sailing. Low displacement supports a healthy sailing performance and keeps the sail area manageable, so the yacht remains easily controllable even with a small crew.
Commissioned and equipped for bluewater sailing at base price
Pegasus Yachts delivers every boat fully commissioned and ready for bluewater sailing at the base price. The standard specification includes autonomy features such as redundant watermakers, solar panels, and a generator, together with essentials such as bedding and crockery.
